CT / ST Interview Preparation
Our
CT / ST Interview Course
is designed to provide you with the tools
and resources to prepare far more effectively for your forthcoming interview. At
the outset it is important to recognise that your ST interview will comprise of
a series of conversations, the aim of which is to determine, firstly, if you
are competent and qualified to carry out the duties of the position on offer,
and secondly, if you are the most suitable doctor for this programme out of all
the qualified and competent doctors who have also applied for this specialist
post.
It may indeed be that you are a very skilled, highly qualified doctor who
has the ability to build excellent relationships with patients and is well
regarded by all your colleagues. However, if you are unable to perform
effectively in an interview setting and get this across it is unlikely that you
will be allocated a specialist training programme, particularly your
first-choice post. Although most doctors do invest considerable time and effort
in, for example, obtaining necessary higher professional qualifications, it is
a fact that many doctors simply do not spend sufficient time preparing for
their next job interview, to their own disadvantage.
Features of our CPD accredited course include:
·
Mock interview stations
equivalent to the four stations you can expect to face at your ST interview: Research & Audit, Portfolio, Clinical Simulation,
and Presentation – and coaching for each
·
A full mock interview at each of the four stations followed by extensive
feedback for each by our CT / ST selection experts
·
Improving your interview
technique through easily applicable interview techniques – learn how to build
rapport with the ST selection panel and understand the significance behind body
language and non-verbal communication
·
Understanding your strengths and
weaknesses, and how to discuss both
·
Learning how use every ST
question you are asked as a way of selling yourself and your abilities
