UKCAT Revision Guide
With the standard of
medical school and dentistry school applicants being so exceptionally high, it
can be difficult for admissions tutors to make a decision between two
candidates with equally excellent A-Level results and work placements.
Consequently, with the numbers of medical school and dentistry school
applicants rising year after year, the emphasis placed on UKCAT results is
greater than ever before.
Taking two hours to
complete, the UK Clinical Aptitude Test requires you to be fully knowledgeable
of each of the four question types and confident of answering each at a comfortable
speed. While the UKCAT does not have a pass rate, it goes without saying that
those with the highest test results will be looked at first by admissions
tutors.
Performing to the best
of your abilities in each of the four question sections of the UKCAT (Verbal
Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, and Decisions analysis)
requires comprehensive preparation beforehand. Our UKCAT Preparation Book,
which includes two full mock exams and over 800 practice questions, offers the
ultimate UKCAT resource available from booksellers.
At 445 pages, the book
includes:
·
Two complete mock
tests which can be taken under the same timed conditions of the UKCAT
·
Over 800 UKCAT
practice questions – each questions includes detailed, step-by-step feedback to
allow you to build upon your progress until perfect
·
How to approach each
section of the test: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Abstract
Reasoning, Decision Analysis, and Non-Cognitive Analysis

management techniques and tips applicable to a standardized test format

UKCAT Preparation Book Testimonials
'After being out of formal education for more than a decade I decided to take a giant leap and apply to dentistry. The UKCAT exam scared me witless but reading through the book and practising a a bit helped me realise that it can be done. I also found it very helpful that at first I could go through quite a lot of material without being timed - just to see if I can actually do it.'
GB (Sixth Form)
'I found it Useful, full of Knowledge, Comprehensive, Appropriate and Targeted - spot the acronym! Seriously, it is spot on and really helped me as tutor.'
