About the Authors
Nicola Hawley, after completing her BSc in Biochemistry at LeedsUniversity, accepted a research post within the School of Biomedical Sciences at NottinghamUniversity. This involved working in a multidisciplinary team alongside medical professionals researching the therapeutic potential of G Protein Coupled Receptors, in particular Beta-1 and Beta-2 Adrenoreceptors. Nicola now teaches science within a secondary environment.
Matt Green, after completing his BSc in Biochemistry, went on to complete an MPhil at the RoyalMarsdenHospital in London. This involved working closely with medical professionals on a number of projects developing novel drugs for the treatment of ovarian cancer. After establishing a private tuition service in 2004, Matt went on to found developmedica in 2005, and for the last five years has been supporting prospective medical and dental students secure their first choice university place.
