Effective Time Management Skills for Doctors
Our innovative course, “Time & Task
Management and Assertiveness Skills”, is of a highly participative nature and
has been designed to introduce doctors, at all levels, to the principles of
effective NHS time management within a healthcare setting.
The programme looks at how, in a
practical way, you can become more personally effective and encourages you via
an action plan, to introduce the skills and techniques learned and put them
into daily, practical use.
Doctors of any grade will benefit from
the practical nature of the programme. The course is CPD accredited (worth 6 CPD points) and also meets the criteria of the
Medical Leadership Competency Framework which encourages doctors to make more effective use of their time.
Once you arrive for the course, the comprehensive programme will
deliver these aims and objectives:
·
Understand why setting
goals in a professional and personal setting will make you more effective
·
Take away practical
skills in prioritisation using tried and tested methodology
·
Have the ability to
delegate in a professional manner using a process which has proven success
·
How to be assertive in
what you do and recognise aggression and passivity in yourself and others
·
Identify what you
procrastinate about, and more importantly, why? Then how to deal with those
tasks through techniques learned
·
Determine your
work/lifestyle behaviours and find a balance between them to give you more
freedom and life enjoyment
·
You will be helped and
encouraged to develop your own personal action plan to use the learned
methodology
Time Management for doctors is not just
about getting to a meeting on time; it has to become a way of life – a habit.
It is a distillation of practical tips and techniques that are core to the
success of being an organised doctor and you don’t want to miss it!
