UKCAT Examination Revision
With registration for
the 2010 UKCAT (UK Clinical Aptitude Test) examination period opening on the 4th
May, it is now the time for medical school applicants to begin considering
their preparation for the test.
With an increasing
number of people applying to medical school, all with consistently excellent
predicted grades, a greater onus is given to the UKCAT scores of applicants by
admission tutors. It is therefore common sense that you prepare as thoroughly
as possible prior to the UKCAT to maximise your odds of being accepted into the
medical school of your course. Failing to plan for your test and revise for the
UKCAT questions you can expect to face only endangers the chance of gaining
admission to your first choice university.
Held regularly around
the UK, our UKCAT Revision Course, which includes seven hours of classroom
teaching, is jointly delivered by those who have been successful in the UKCAT
and accepted into medical school, and experienced experts in the field of
aptitude tests. Our course will:
·
Discuss the aims of
the UKCAT, why it is used, and what steps you need to take prior to sitting the
test
·
Explore each of the
five sections of the UKCAT (Verbal Reasoning questions, Quantitative
Reasoning questions, Abstract Reasoning questions, Decision Analysis questions
and Non-Cognitive Analysis questions) and how you should approach and prepare
for each
·
Provide you with the
opportunity to practice UKCAT questions from each of the five sections,
including personalised feedback afterwards
·
Examine the common
mistakes that students make time after time in the test and how you can
avoid them
·
Improve your time
management to ensure you are able to fully complete your UKCAT within the
allotted and understand how to pace yourself correctly
·
Enable you to improve
your UKCAT score, and ultimately improve your chances of securing a place at
medical school
