Conditions relating to your use of the Developmedica website and the products and services offered through it.
These terms and conditions apply to all conditions of sale and associated products arising through the use of this website. The Developmedica terms and conditions are set out below. You may wish to print a copy for future reference. Other terms and conditions on our site, such as our privacy policy, should also be read as part of this agreement. We reserve the right to:
- Change our terms and conditions from time to time without notice to you. Changes will apply to any subsequent enquiries and orders received through this website.
- Modify or withdraw, temporarily, or permanently, this website (or any part thereof) with or without notice to you and you confirm that we will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification to or withdrawal of the website.
Through the use of this website you agree to these terms and conditions.
1. Your Account - If you use this website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for restricting access to your computer to prevent unauthorised access to your account. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You should take all necessary steps to ensure that your password is kept confidential and secure and should inform us immediately if you have any reason to believe that your password has become known to anyone else, or if the password is being, or is likely to be, used in an unauthorised manner.
Please ensure that the details you provide us with are correct and complete and inform us immediately of any changes to the information that you provided when registering. Developmedica reserve the right to refuse access to the website, terminate accounts, remove or edit content.

3. Access to the Developmedica website - We will make all reasonable endeavours to ensure that availability of the website will be uninterrupted and that transmissions will be error-free. However, due to the nature of the internet and the world wide web, this cannot be guaranteed. Also, your access to the website may also be occasionally suspended or restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new facilities or services. We will attempt to limit the frequency and duration of any such suspension or restriction.
4. License for website access - Developmedica grant you a limited license to access and make personal use of this website, but not to download (other than downloadable material relating to products or services you subscribe to) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with the express written consent of Developmedica This license does not include any resale or commercial use of this website or its contents; any collection and use of any product listings, descriptions, or prices; any derivative use of this website or its contents; any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant; or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.
This website or any portion of this website may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without our prior express written consent.
5. Our contract - When you place an order to purchase a product from Developmedica, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product or service, which is deemed to be accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you that we’ve dispatched that product to you. That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the confirmation of shipment to you.
Any products on the same order which we have not confirmed as being despatched do not form part of that contract.
Where a deadline is agreed to provide a particular service, this is reliant on the client providing us with the necessary requested information via email and by telephone. Failure to do this in a prompt and reasonable manner, within the agreed timeframe, will result in you breaching the agreement and Developmedica will not be held responsible for the failure in meeting the originally agreed deadline.
6. Pricing of services and products - All prices quoted on the website are for customers making their payment direct to us and therefore include VAT at the current rate where applicable and are subject to change without notice. Please note where an institution, such as a school or college, agrees to pay for a particular service VAT will be added to the listed price on the website.
7. Limitations of use of this website and products/services purchased from it - You may not use information or products/services purchased from this website for any other purpose other than for your personal non–commercial use only. Any other use of the material and content from our website or services of the website is strictly prohibited. You agree not to (and agree not to assist or facilitate any third party to) copy, reproduce, transmit, publish, display, distribute, commercially exploit or create derivative works of such material and content. Services and products provided through this website are exclusively for the purchaser’s own use, and cannot be sold, distributed, displayed or given away, in whole or in part, to any other person or organisation in any form without formal written permission from Developmedica.
8. Limitation of Liability - Developmedica will not under any circumstances be liable for any damages whatsoever, including any special, indirect, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages, resulting from the use or loss of use of the services via the Developmedica website. Even if Developmedica has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In any event, Developmedica’s total liability to you for all damages (whether based on contract, torte or other theories) will be limited to the amount you actually paid for the service during the month in question. Some statutes and jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation in some cases may not be applicable to you and you may have additional rights. Developmedica makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the operation of this site or any information, content, products and services, which are included on or otherwise made available to you, through the website and otherwise specified in writing and you expressly agree that you use this site at your sole risk.
Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which may not otherwise be limited or excluded under applicable law.
Developmedica will use reasonable endeavours to verify the accuracy of any information on the site but makes no representation or warranty of any kind express or implied statutory or otherwise regarding the contents or availability of the site or that it will be timely or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs or represents the full functionality, accuracy, reliability of the website Developmedica will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss of content or material uploaded or transmitted through the website and Developmedica accepts no liability of any kind for any loss or damage from action taken or taken in reliance on material or information contained on the site.
Developmedica will not be liable for any economic losses (including without limitation loss of revenues, data, profits, contracts, business or anticipated savings), loss of goodwill or reputation. Or special or indirect losses suffered or incurred by that party arising out of, or in connection with, the provisions of any matter under these terms and conditions.
This does not affect your contract cancellation rights.
Developmedica will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but, unless we are negligent, we cannot be held liable for any losses caused as a result of unauthorised access to information provided by you.
9. Electronic communications - When you visit the Developmedica website or send e-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. We often communicate with you by e-mail or by posting notices on the website. For contractual purposes, you consent to receive communications from us electronically and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
10. Closure of Service - Having purchased one of our CV, application or personal statement services, unless we are made aware of specific timings or deadlines applicable to your situation, a 30-day period of inactivity without communication will result in a notification reminder being sent. If you do not respond to said notification, your service may be closed. In such a case, the service may be reopened for a nominal fee at our discretion.
11. Alteration of service or amendments to the conditions - We reserve the right to make changes to our website, policies, products and services and these conditions of use at any time. You will be subject to the policies and conditions of use in force at the time that you use the website or that you order goods from us, unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you). If any of these conditions is deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.
12. Information contained within this website, guidance documents and services provided - All information contained within this website, together with any guidance documents and support provided to customers by Developmedica, are to the best of our knowledge and correct at the time of publication. However, Developmedica cannot be responsible for any personal loss arising from the use of this website and subsequent services. All guidance documents and support provided is for general guidance only and if in doubt applicants should contact the appropriate educational institution to obtain advice specific to their application. Developmedica cannot be held liable for the outcome of using any product or service purchased from this website. Please note we are unable to fabricate or falsify information included in any of the critiquing services offered.
Although Developmedica ensure that all services delivered are of the highest quality, we cannot be held responsible for the outcome through subscriptions to any of our services.
13. Links to other websites - These terms and conditions apply only to the Developmedica websites. Throughout this website are links to other third party websites which Developmedica deem may be useful to aid your educational development. Through using this website you accept that under no circumstances will Developmedica be held responsible for the contents and any subsequent damage, discourse or inconvenience caused as a result of visiting any third party website. If you have any queries or concerns regarding any website linked to Developmedica please contact us.
14. Events beyond our reasonable control - We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
15. Waiver - If you breach these conditions and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these conditions.
16. Termination of services - Throughout the course of us providing our services to you, if you fail to contact us after 28-days despite our best efforts to make contact with you by telephone, postal letter and email we will assume that you no longer require our services and deem our services to be delivered to your satisfaction.
17. Customer service cancellation and complaints procedure - Developmedica is committed to delivering a high quality level of customer service and we strive to respond to all complaints within seven days of receipt. In the event of a complaint, please email info@developmedica.com
Course cancellations made by clients four weeks or more prior to the course will receive a full refund of the course fees, minus an administration fee of £50 per course which will be made. For cancellations made by clients less than two weeks before the start date of the course no refund of fees will be made. We urge clients to arrange fully refundable travel arrangements as we cannot be held liable for non-refundable travel tickets. We would also like to clarify that in order for delegates to receive a certificate of attendance they must attend any given course in its entirety. If delegates fail to notify Developmedica of their attention not to attend the course, no refund will be given and options to transfer to an alternative date will also not be available. All requests to cancel should be made in writing (email is acceptable) info@developmedica.co.uk
Please note that we will endeavour to move a delegate from their original course date to a future course date if we are given more than four weeks notice. If you request to move course dates within four weeks of a given course we will only be able to accommodate this if we are able to substitute your place with another delegate. There will be a £50 administration fee. We also reserve the right to move course dates and venues. All requests to move should be made in writing (email is acceptable) info@developmedica.com. For booking of 1-2-1 sessions, refunds or date transfers cannot be made as the facilitators will have booked time off to accommodate for this together with incurring fees for room bookings.
18. Books - By law, customers located in the European Union have the right to withdraw from the purchase of a book within seven working days of the day after the date the item is delivered.
Where you are withdrawing from your purchase of a book within the seven working day cooling-off period, and there has been no error on our part, we will require notification of this in writing to enable us to refund the cost of the item and the cost of sending the item to you as follows:
• Where you are returning an item that was part of a larger order, we’ll refund the per-item charge for delivery that you incurred retaining any incurred credit/debit card transaction fee.
• where you are returning an entire order, we’ll refund applicable per-item delivery charges and the per-delivery charge that you incurred
• we will refund only standard (Airmail) postage charges for items delivered outside the UK
• where we collect an item from you, we reserve the right to recover the costs of collection from you.
The specification detailed on the website including without limitation price, format, extent, number of illustrations, and month of publication, was as accurate as possible at the time the set was compiled. Occasionally, due to the nature of some contractual restrictions, we are unable to ship a specific product to a particular territory. Jacket images are provisional and liable to change before publication.
We will not refund the cost incurred by you for returning the item to us and other services provided to you in connection with your purchase unless you are returning the item to us because of an error on our part or because it is defective. All items must be returned to us in ‘as new’ condition. Any books returned damaged will not be refunded. Please note that we will only be able to dispatch items for next day delivery if the book order is made before 16.00.
19. Online services Access - Access to our online services will need to be made via a user name and password. Your Developmedica user name and password are personal and non transferable and must be kept confidential and used only by you for the duration of your registration period.
We reserve the right to terminate your registration and/or take further action should we find you in breach of this clause. Irrespective of an online payment our contract will not become binding until five working days have elapsed following a successful payment is made online, and only if we do not contact you. In respect of all other types of payment e.g. cheque, invoice, and postal order the contract becomes binding upon clearance of funds through the Developmedica bank account. Subject to the detail above delivery will have deemed to have taken place once the log in details has been sent by us to you.
Please note if you wish to cancel any subscriptions that you have purchased after our contract comes into effect, cancellation shall be at our discretion and if accepted will be subject to a cancellation charge (20% of total cost of the subscription). By reading these terms and conditions you hereby agree that no cancellation is allowed after these services have started to be supplied. This does not otherwise affect your statutory rights.
We reserve the right to amend and alter content of our online courses at any time and without notice. When you request and online purchase, the language that we offer to you will be English only.
Force Majeure. Developmedica shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations where such failure is as a result of Acts of Nature (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster), government sanction, blockage, embargo, labour dispute, strike, lockout or interruption or failure of electricity [or telephone service], and no other party will have a right to terminate this agreement in such circumstances.
20. Incentive and discount offers - Please note that customers are only able to redeem one incentive or discount offer per purchase. For example you cannot redeem an existing customer discount together with a refer a friend discount. We reserve the right to cancel any or all of the incentive offers at any time.
21. Prize draws - From time to time we may run prize draws and the following terms and conditions will apply. Our competitions will only be available to customers over the age of 18
• In order to participate a valid email address and postal address is required.
• Only one application per prize draw will be accepted.
• The winner will be drawn randomly with an adjudicator present.
• Winners will be notified by email and will be required to confirm acceptance within 7 days.
• After 7 days the winners rights will automatically be foregone and a new draw will take place.
22. Enrollment onto courses for the sole purpose of your personal development - You agree that you are subscribing onto our courses for the sole purpose of your personal development and not on behalf of another entity or competitor organisation. All course material, techniques and handouts are copyrighted and cannot be reproduced in any form without the express written permission of Developmedica.
23. Statutory rights - These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
24. Governing law - This agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales whose courts shall be courts of competent jurisdiction. You agree, as we do, to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
